YATA - You Are The Algorithm

We decide what to talk about. You decide whether to listen. No set agenda. Just what we’re noticing, what keeps repeating, and where that leads. Like everything in your life, you decide your own algorithm. You are the algorithm.

In this episode, we catch up after missing a week and dig into a bunch of what’s been happening on and off the mic. We start by reading a pile of boostagrams, thanking everyone who’s been listening from the beginning, and looking at the latest show analytics — including a strangely underperforming Episode 17 and a growing list of countries tuning in. From there, Oshi shares how the local farmer’s market has been going, what it’s like introducing people to pecan butter and dates in real life, and why casual, non-pushy Bitcoin conversations still feel like the right way to bring people in.

We also riff on accepting Bitcoin versus Monero, zaps on Nostr, podcast listening speeds, and the tradeoffs of privacy-first phone setups with GrapheneOS, user profiles, Mint Mobile, Silent Link, and related tools. I also recap a camping and hunting trip full of tire blowouts, mushroom harvesting, and trailer chaos, before we close with principle number seven in our permaculture series: design from patterns to details. The big theme there is simple but important — understand the larger flows of land, water, climate, and access before making small decisions you may regret later.
